3% of Ohio corn, 2% of soybeans harvested

The USDA says early corn and soybean harvest began last week in Ohio.

Three percent of the corn crop is harvested, a little ahead of the one- and five-year averages. Seventy-four percent is rated good to excellent.

Two percent of soybeans are harvested, in line with both the one-year and five-year average. Sixty-seven percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent.

Two percent of the winter wheat crop is planted
