Come take a walk through history at Greenwood Cemetery September 26

The annual “Walk (or Ride) Through History” at Greenwood Cemetery will be held on Sunday, September 26. This fun for all ages and entertaining learning event will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 1814 Lucas Street. The event is sponsored by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department, open to the public, and is free to attend.

Include this annual tradition in your fall festivities and learn some interesting tidbits from Muscatine’s history. This year, your tour guide will relay 25 enticing stories about some of Greenwood Cemetery’s most interesting and influential residents. All tales will be historically accurate and will be sure to entertain you.

The “Walk (or Ride) Through History” will take place rain or shine, and will last for approximately one hour. MuscaBus tours will be available for those who wish to ride, or in case of inclement weather.

Pre-registration is required for MuscaBus riders. Reserve your bus seat by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department office at (563) 263-0241. Masks or face coverings are required for participants wishing to take a MuscaBus tour.

Pre-registration is not required for walking tours. Walking groups and MuscaBus tours will meet outside of the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel.
