The world’s largest totally irrigated working farm show returns today in Nebraska.

One of the Husker Harvest Day Founders, Doyle Hulme tells Brownfield the latest in farming technology keeps producers returning each year. “All of the electronic controls, the planting, and cultivating, and spraying that has reduced the amount of overspray has improved the beautification of the different processes in the ag production program.”

Since the event’s inception in the early 70s, he says even with the top equipment on display, adding livestock exhibitors has increased interest. “Utilizing the facilities to promote the newest applications of livestock involvement with the equipment there, which started out with a couple of squeeze shoots and a couple-head of cattle,” he says.

And, Hulme farmers also return because of the friendships that have been developed over the course of the years.
