Dry bean harvest starts in Michigan

Pleasant weather this past week was ideal for dry bean and silage harvest in Michigan.

Corn condition dropped three points to 70 percent of the crop rated in good to excellent condition. Ninety-four percent is in the dough stage, 61 percent is dented, five percent is mature and corn silage harvest is 14 percent complete.

Soybeans are 64 percent good to excellent, with 22 percent dropping leaves. 

Harvest is also underway for sweet corn, pumpkins, carrots, peppers, and apples while blueberry and peach harvests are nearly finished.
