Kansas, Missouri making efforts to increase diversity, inclusion for minorities in ag

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly and Missouri Governor Mike Parson are highlighting minorities in agriculture for greater diversity and inclusion and have declared this week as Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related (MANRRS) Week.

The KC Animal Health Corridor says the proclamation will help change perceptions of careers and include more minority-represented populations to build a more prosperous, creative and innovative industry.

The proclamation coincides with the Corridor’s Digital Animal Health Summit that begins tomorrow.

MANRRS is a nonprofit organization founded 36 years ago to promote academic and professional advancement by empowering minorities in agriculture, natural resources and related sciences.
