World Dairy Expo is not subject to county’s latest COVID guideline

A report from Madison about new COVID-19 restrictions has some people concerned and confused about how World Dairy Expo might be affected.  Katie Schmitt from World Dairy Expo tells Brownfield, so far, they are not using any new COVID restrictions. “There are none in place at the moment. We are still working with Public Health here in Madison/Dane County to figure out what the best plan is for us to safely hold World Dairy Expo this fall.”

The new guideline calls for a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination for all ticketed events in Dane County, but Schmitt says this doesn’t apply to World Dairy Expo. “We are not ticketed in the way that that announcement implies. That is related to solely ticketed seated events in the coliseum. The World Dairy Expo is not classified in that way.”

Schmitt says Expo is working closely with Public Health Madison and Dane County officials, and they will let everyone know if new precautions are needed.
