Storm assistance available for Wisconsin farmers

Wisconsin farmers impacted by this week’s storms can reach out to the state for assistance.

Leeann Duwe at the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection tells Brownfield the agency is ready to assist with requests for support.  She says affected farmers should reach out to the Wisconsin Farm Center, which can connect them to the appropriate resources.

Governor Tony Evers declared a state of emergency Thursday after storms caused damage in several parts of Wisconsin between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

The Wisconsin Farm Center can be reached toll-free at 800-942-2474 or by email at farmcenter@wisconsin.gov.
