City of Muscatine has firefighter, golf professional, other positions available

Always dreamed of becoming a firefighter? Well wait no longer. The Muscatine Fire Department is seeking applicants to fill positions in the department during the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year.

Firefighter work is performed as part of the Public Safety operations of the City of Muscatine. The work involves the performance of related emergency and non-emergency fire and medical duties in line with departmental operations, as well as maintenance of all firefighting and medical equipment, building, and grounds.

Minimum qualifications include a current Iowa EMT or National Registry EMT certification. Muscatine will be utilizing the CPAT testing process for the physical agility test. Previous CPAT certification is valid if taken less than 12 months prior to the CPAT final test date. CPAT orientation and testing will be held at the Dubuque Fire Training Grounds August 27-28.
