Main suspect in January double stabbing has been arrested

Muscatine police have arrested the main suspect in the stabbing of two people at a bar in January.

A 25-year-old man and 37-year-old woman suffered stab wounds during an incident at Headquarter’s Tavern in the 2100 block of Grandview on January 25.

The two victims were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Two others were also cut during the scuffle.

Dayton Earl Michael Elliot, 26, was arrested in Polk County on Friday on a Muscatine warrant for willful injury, and then transported to the Muscatine County Jail where he was charged with attempted murder and gang participation.

Alejandro Antonio Flores, 23, of Letts, Iowa, was arrested on January 25 on two counts of attempted murder.
