Hazy, hot and humid conditions expected to end the week and persist through the weekend in Muscatine, while air quality issues are possible from wildfires in the Pacific Northwest and Canada.

AirNow.gov, which monitors air quality around the country, says if you are unusually sensitive to particle pollution, consider reducing your activity level or shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.

The Quad Cities office of the National Weather Service says if you have outdoor plans take precautions to stay cool and hydrated.

After a foggy start to the day, air quality around Muscatine is forecast to be moderate today as smoke continues to cross the continent on the jet stream.
