Continued moisture in OH hurts crop conditions

The USDA says wet conditions continued last week in Ohio.

According to the latest crop progress and condition report, 75 percent of the state’s corn crop and 67 percent of soybeans are in good to excellent condition.

Eighty-four percent of winter wheat is harvested, 10 percent behind last year.

Topsoil moisture is 54 percent adequate and 42 percent surplus and subsoil moisture is 59 percent adequate and 34 percent surplus.
