The Muscatine Children’s Choirs will offer a two-day Music Camp experience this summer at Wesley United Methodist Church.

Students who have completed grades 3-6 will gather in front of the Wesley Family Life Center on two Tuesdays, July 27 and August 3, from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. Students who have completed grades K-2 will meet in the same location on two Thursdays, July 29 and August 5, from 9:30 to 11:25 a.m.

Registration fees are $5 per child per day and will be paid in person. The plan is to be outside for all of the camp. Each group will perform a mini-concert of 2-3 songs at the end of their second camp day.

Please register at this website: https://wesleyonline.elexiochms.com/external/form/a95ccdc6-711a-4086-bde9-0801516c1063. Another way to access the sign-up is by going to the Wesley United Methodist Church homepage, https://www.wesleyonline.org, then scrolling down to the Childrens’ Music Camp section and clicking on More Info and Registration.

This approach is a departure from the traditional summer Music Camp, but, due to the ongoing pandemic, as well as a transition from Ric Smith’s retirement to Dan Laaveg’s start, this seems to be the safest and best solution.

Come join us in singing, games, snacks and boom whacking! Not sure what boom whacking is? Better come find out!
