Due to the alert and quick actions of a pair of good Samaritans, Muscatine police were able to intervene and stop a sexual assault Wednesday in the Park Plaza Mobile Home Park.

According to a Muscatine Police Department press release, the two people were out for a walk Wednesday when they observed a female inside of a home on Jeff Drive break out a window and call out for help.

They immediately called 911 and Muscatine Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene. As officers arrived, they discovered what appeared to be a sexual assault in progress.
