95% of Ohio corn, 89% of soybeans planted
The USDA says adequate rainfall and ideal temperatures aided crop growth last week in Ohio.
According to the latest crop progress and condition report, 95 percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, and 83 percent has emerged. Seventy-six percent of corn is in good to excellent condition.
Eighty-nine percent of soybeans in Ohio are planted, and 74 percent of the crop has emerged. Seventy-one percent of soybeans are in good to excellent condition.
Seventy-six percent of winter wheat is in good to excellent condition.
