Ethanol production, stocks up modestly on the week

U.S. ethanol production moved higher last week, while the domestic supply bounced a little bit from the recent multi-year lows.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.032 million barrels a day, the highest weekly average March 2020, up 52,000 on the week and 369,000 on the year.

Ethanol stocks were reported at 19.433 million barrels, 40,000 above the previous week, but 4.193 million below a year ago.

The Renewable Fuels Association says net inputs for blenders and refiners and the volume of gasoline supply to the market had week to week and year to year increases.

The USDA says Midwest ethanol prices were higher last week.

The USDA’s next corn for ethanol use is out June 10th.
