Senate Finance Committee unanimously backs Tai for USTR
The Senate Finance Committee has voted unanimously to advance Katherine Tai’s nomination for US Trade Representative. Her nomination will now head to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote.
The US Meat Export Federation says the strong bipartisan support she received from the Committee reflects her extensive qualifications for the position. USMEF says they look forward to working with her on key issues affecting red meat trade following her confirmation by the full Senate.
The Senate has not yet announced when the confirmation vote will take place.
