USB chair-“Beans in the teens heal a lot of wounds”
The chairman of the United Soybean Board says the run up in prices is good for farmers and new uses for soybeans.
Dan Farney, a soybean grower in Morton, in central Illinois, tells Brownfield Ag News, “Certainly, right now, the price is good and I hope the demand stays there and the market is saying they want more soybeans. You know, beans in the teens help heal a lot of wounds!”
Farney says the process of new check-off goals for Fiscal Year 2022 is under way with 78 farmer leaders in working groups to find the greatest areas of importance that will guide future soy investments.
