Sheep producers plan to be at climate table
The American Sheep Industry Association says they are absolutely going to be part of climate change policy discussions with the Biden administration.
Public affairs specialist Matt Paul says he expects U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack to be very involved with a new approach.
“I think there’s going to be a lot of dollars behind this, its going to be solutions focused, job focused,” he says.
The group’s legislative committee conducted its annual review of policies ahead of its recent virtual annual convention and says it will be putting a renewed focus on climate areas in 2021.
