Accumulating snow has ended across Muscatine and eastern Iowa, but hazardous conditions persist with strong winds, blowing and drifting snow and dangerously cold wind chills.

The National Weather Service says sustained winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to 40. Blowing snow could cause whiteout conditions for those traveling.

Wind chills will drop to 5-below to 15-below zero late tonight and will be dangerous to anyone outside for any length of time.
