Schad set to be next MO Corn Growers Association CEO

The Missouri Corn Growers Association has announced its senior director of market development and grower engagement, Bradley Schad, will take over as CEO after current CEO Gary Marshall retires.

The Versailles, Missouri native says he’s worked on several international ethanol and trade missions while at the association.

“Whether it’d be in Japan getting regulations changed to allow ETBE to be sold using American ethanol [or] whether it’d be down in Mexico working on trade down there, getting them to us distillers grains in the livestock markets,” Schad said.

He tells Brownfield his background working within the ethanol market puts him in a position to benefit Missouri farmers under the Biden administration.

“I’m focused on what we can do to better the opportunities for corn farmers through markets, through ethanol, through livestock and through exports,” he said.

Outgoing CEO Marshall is retiring from Missouri Corn Growers after leading the association for 34 years. Schad will take over on March 15.
