Three men charged in shots fired incident in Muscatine

Three men have been charged following a report of gunshots being fired in the 1200 block of Nebraska Street on Jan. 10.

Muscatine Police Department officers responded to the 1200 block of Nebraska Street on January 10, 2021, to investigate a report of gun shots. When officers arrived they found two unoccupied vehicles that had been struck by multiple rounds of gun fire.

No other property was found to be damaged and there were no injuries.

Following an extensive investigation, Muscatine Police investigators have charged three individuals in connection with this crime. Ronald Lee Johnson, 50, 704 Division Street, Muscatine, and Dalton Lee Johnson, 18, 1713 Earl Avenue, Apt. C, Muscatine, were arrested Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, and charged with going armed with intent.

A third suspect, Kobe Ray Schubert, 20, address unknown, has been charged with going armed with intent and reckless use of a firearm. Schubert is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Schubert. Anyone who may know of Kobe’s whereabouts is asked to call Lt. David O’Connor at (563) 263-9922 extension 608. If Kobe is seen in public, call 911 immediately and do not try to approach him.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
