Cargill acquires ProPortion Foods

Cargill has acquired ProPortion Foods.  Cargill issued a statement saying the deal closed in December and includes further-processed protein plants in Round Rock, Texas and Vernon, California.

ProPortion Foods makes fully cooked products, portion control steaks and marinated ready-to-grill meats for retail and the food service industry. 

ProPortion Foods makes a line of beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and plant-based products.

Cargill’s Rob Stewart says they look forward to growing the Cargill team and their presence in the southern and western U.S.  Brian Levy with ProPortion Foods says he and his partners are delighted that their business and employees will have the opportunity to grow with Cargill.

Cargill also has facilities serving the region in Fort Worth and Waco, Texas as well as Fresno, California.
