Farmer says ethanol, trade are top priorities
West Central Ohio Farmer Patty Mann says seeing the ethanol industry recover from covid-related demand destruction is a top priority this year.
“We’d like to see the ethanol industry get back to where it was,” she says.
She tells Brownfield the industry is still somewhat subdued, but she’s hopeful that biofuel producers will continue to recover.
Mann says trade is another priority.
“Hopefully we’ll get some new trade agreements with other countries and the one with china will stay and hopefully they’ll deliver on their promise to buy the commodities that they agreed to with the phase one agreement,” she says.
Mann is president of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association.
