Cheesemaker comments on adjusting to pandemic

A Wisconsin cheesemaker says the coronavirus pandemic has forced processors to change who they market to.  Ken Heiman with Nasonville Dairy tells Brownfield the lost sales to restaurants and institutions meant they had to do something. “We specialized a lot in foodservice and this whole pandemic has led us to understand that we need to get closer and closer to retail, so we are doing that as we speak.”

Heiman says their names, products, and how they are sold were adjusted, and he says domestic and export customers are looking for the best, especially the customers in southeast Asia.
