Rain slows some harvest progress in Tennessee

Some parts of Tennessee are wrapping up harvest and others were slowed by rain last week.  Overall, eighty percent of soybeans and 99 percent of corn has been harvested. 

Cotton harvest is 78 percent complete.  Fifty-four percent of pastures are rated good to excellent and 85 percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted, with 69 percent emerged, and 67 percent is ranted good to excellent.

Ninety-two percent of Topsoil and Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
