MO harvest, winter wheat planting nearly complete

The USDA says Missouri’s winter wheat planting made progress under warmer and wetter than normal conditions last week. 

Ninety – five percent of Missouri’s corn crop has been harvested, 12 percent ahead of last year.  

Eighty – eight percent of the state’s soybeans have been harvested, eight percent ahead of last year. 

Cotton harvest progressed to 78 percent complete.

Winter wheat planting is 85 percent complete with more than two-thirds of the crop emerged. Fifty – four percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.
