Comets playoff run ends at the hands of Camanche

The Camanche Indians (9-1) protect their home field and are headed to Cedar Falls and a semi-final game. The Indians beat the West Liberty Comets (6-3) by a score of 34-20. Camache has made it to the round of 4 for the first time in school history.

The gae started with a bang as Cade Everson took the opening kick 99 yds for a TD. The game stayed at 7-0 until a 40 yd TD pass for Camanche as Mike Delzell found Jordan Lawrance. The Indians closed the first half with a short TD run by Everson to make it 21-0.

But the Comets battled back after scoring on three straight possessions to make it 34-20 with 9 minutes left in the game. The Indians though used a few long drives in the final quarter and a stopping the Comets on a 4th down to stop the bleeding.
