Missouri in for mostly dry, warm weather

A University of Missouri climatologist says Missouri is going to be mostly dry and unseasonably warm for the next several days with one exception…

“Far southeast Missouri might see some notable relief when the remnants of hurricane Delta impact that area,” Pat Guinan said.

He said that relief could be up to two inches of rainfall. Otherwise, he said highs for today and into the weekend will be in the 80s and lows around 60.

“We’re running about 15 degrees above normal, these are temperatures we typically would see perhaps in early September,” he said.

Guinan said drought conditions are continuing to develop, especially in the southwestern corner of the state. Guinan spoke on an MU cattle and forage zoom call Thursday.
