SBA official expects Trump will propose more COVID aid

A regional administrator with the U.S. Small Business Administration says farms and other businesses will likely see additional COVID 19 relief. Rob Scott says, “There’s still work to be done. There’s going to be more economic relief coming down from the President.”

Scott tells Brownfield he knows the administration is discussing several possible options. “I think possibly a PPP-2. I know he’s got some USDA programs that he announced. I think there’s probably going to be another stimulus. We’re going to be looking at that, so I think there’s a lot of things that are going to be coming in the next couple of weeks that folks are going to hear about.”

Scott says with programs from SBA and USDA, he says hopefully, rural America does get the help they need from the government to get through this pandemic.

Scott spoke to Brownfield during a recent tour at a Wisconsin farm that utilized the Paycheck Protection Program.
