Bayer gets full approval of XtendFlex & expects dicamba reregistration
Bayer Crop Science officials are pleased with the final approval of XtendFlex soybeans by the EU and expect EPA re-registration of Bayer’s dicamba herbicide XtendiMax. Lisa Streck, Bayer’s North American Soybean Launch Lead, tells Brownfield growers are excited about using XtendFlex, “We’ve had growers participate in our Ground Breakers program for the past several years. They’ve highlighted the strong performance they’ve had on their farms with XtendFlex soybeans and the added herbicide flexibility that theyre able to have.”
She says Bayer believes EPA has the data and tools for new approval of XtendiMax through the reregistration process,
“We’re well into that process and we expect to receive an XtendiMax label here later this fall.”
Streck says XtendFlex soybeans which have tolerance to dicamba, glyphosate and glufosinate will be launched in the U.S. and Canada in 2021.
