South Dakota soybean harvest 29% complete
South Dakota farmers are nearly 30 percent done harvesting soybeans and 10 percent of the way on corn.
In its latest weekly crop report, the USDA says both paces are well ahead of last year and better than a five-year average of 13 and five percent respectively.
Winter wheat planting is 53 percent complete with 17 percent emerged. That’s faster than 12 percent in 2019 and 15 percent normally.
The sorghum harvest is 16 percent done and two percent of the state’s sunflower acres are harvested as of Sunday.
