Corteva confident of Enlist Duo amid plaintiff appeal

Corteva Agriscience, the maker of the Enlist Duo weed control system, says they are confident in the sustainability and effectiveness of the product as plaintiffs in a recent case against them file an appeal.

Last month, a panel of judges in the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals ruled in favor of continued registration, while saying the EPA should re-evaluate the product’s risk to monarch butterflies.

The plaintiffs are petitioning for a rehearing of that ruling by a larger panel of the 11 Ninth Circuit judges. They say Enlist Duo is a risk to endangered species and the environment.

In a statement to Brownfield Ag News, Corteva Agriscience says they’re monitoring the case while staying focused on developing innovative products, such as the Enlist portfolio.
