Iowa crop conditions below normal
Iowa received a rainy week allowing less than two days suitable for field work.
Iowa’s corn crop is rated 42 percent good to excellent condition, one percent below a week ago. Ninety percent of the crop has dented.
As of Sunday, forty – eight percent of Iowa soybeans are rated good to excellent with more than 70 percent of soybeans turning color.
Alfalfa hay’s third cutting is 96 percent complete and pasture conditions improved five percent this week to 17 percent good to excellent.
