Corn harvest getting underway in Indiana

Corn harvest is just starting for some farmers in Indiana.

The USDA reports one percent of the corn crop was harvested as of Sunday. The crop is rated 60 percent good to excellent.

Thirty-nine percent of soybeans are dropping leaves. The crop is rated 62 percent good to excellent.

Hay harvest ended the week slightly ahead of schedule. The third cutting of alfalfa hay is 93 percent and the third cutting of other hay is 76 percent complete.
