Mississippi River dredging will improve soybean growers’ bottom line.
Plans are progressing on the dredging of the lower 256 miles of the Mississippi River. Tom Steever spoke to Mike Steenhoek, Executive Director of the Soy Transportation Coalition, who says deepening that channel from 45 feet to 50 feet deep will allow ships to haul more.
