Virtual NASDA meeting attracts record attendance

State ag directors, secretaries, and commissioners are meeting virtually this week for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture annual meeting.

NASDA CEO Barb Glenn says a benefit of “going virtual” is attracting a record number of attendees.

“We, as a united voice for the secretaries, directors, and commissioners of agriculture, are always wanting to share our dialogue and share our leadership network,” she says. “We have collected record numbers of people in every session and so I look forward to continuing to a new normal where virtual continues to provide that strong dialogue.”

She tells Brownfield NASDA is proud to share its agricultural policy work this week under the theme of energizing agriculture for the future.

Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue, Land O’Lakes President and CEO Beth Ford, and FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn spoke to members during the meeting.
