Nebraska’s corn and soybean ratings decline

Hot and dry late-August weather is taking a toll on Nebraska’s corn and soybean crops.

The latest crop report puts corn at 66 percent good to excellent, down seven points from last week.  The top rating on soybeans also fell, from 76 percent last week to 71 percent this week.

Grain sorghum was rated 64 percent good to excellent.

Pasture and range conditions saw another decline, falling to 39 percent good to excellent.
