South Dakota corn crop 80% good to excellent
South Dakota’s corn crop is rated 80% good to excellent. Corn dough reached 75% as of Sunday, well ahead of last year and the five-year average.
Ninety-five percent of soybeans were blooming, in line with the average, and, 82% were setting pods, well ahead of last year’s 56%.
Eighty-percent of South Dakota spring wheat has been harvested, ahead of last year and the average. Oat harvest is also well ahead, at 93%.
Eighty-four percent of South Dakota sorghum was headed, near the average.
