Iowa’s corn condition rating dropped ten percentage points this week as a result of last week’s derecho windstorm and continued drought conditions in parts of the state.

Corn is now rated 59 percent good to excellent, the lowest level this crop season.

Soybeans also declined, falling to 62 percent good to excellent.

Pasture condition fell to just 33 percent good to excellent. Just over half of the third cutting of alfalfa hay is complete.
