Reports: U.S.-China trade talks have been postponed
The U.S. and China have reportedly postponed virtual trade talks planned for this weekend.
According to media reports, the delay is related to scheduling conflicts in China and does not reflect any substantive problems with the trade deal. No new date has been set, according to sources.
Earlier reports said U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin would hold a video conference call with China’s vice premier on Saturday, although the talks were never listed on any official public calendar in Washington or Beijing.
