MO crops mostly progress with above normal rainfall

Missouri’s corn crop progressed to 74 percent good to excellent condition. Fifty-four percent of the crop has reached the dough stage.

Seventy-two percent of Missouri soybeans are rated good to excellent with 73 percent of soybeans blooming.

Cotton squaring progressed to 69 percent, more than 15 percent behind last year.

Rice condition fell to 64 percent good to excellent with over 30 percent of the crop headed.

The USDA says 78 percent of topsoil moisture is adequate with over two inches more than normal last week.
