Wisconsin farmers, food processor donate 10,000 pounds of beef

Wisconsin farmers and their insurers helped deliver ten thousand pounds of donated ground beef to the state’s food pantries.

Rural Mutual Insurance and Farm Bureau’s Wisconsin Food and Farm Support Fund recently matched a donation of five-thousand pounds of ground beef from American Foods Group.  The beef is being distributed to families in need by Feeding Wisconsin.

Rural Mutual Insurance agents are raising funds for Feeding Wisconsin, while Farm Bureau raises funds for Harvest of Hope, the farm family crisis relief fund where farm families can apply for up to fifteen-hundred dollars in emergency relief.  So far, more than 45-thousand dollars have been raised for the two relief efforts.
