Another reason to reassess weed management: Dicamba resistant Palmer amaranth

University of Tennessee Extension weed scientist Larry Steckel says researchers have confirmed dicamba resistant Palmer amaranth in Tennessee, where the dicamba-tolerant Xtend trait has dominated cotton and soybean acreage for several years.

Steckel says while there’s no reason to panic, there is good reason to reassess weed management. He says herbicide stewardship is now more important than ever.
