Farmer not concerned about dicamba issues

A soybean grower in east-central Missouri says he’s not concerned about the litigation around dicamba products. Warren Stemme says he made the decision not to use dicamba because there are too many growers of vegetables and landscape and nursery stock in his area, “We heard early on that there were some issues and we just could not afford to have any issues and didn’t want to cause any problems for neighbors.”

Stemme says he knows the dicamba products have worked well for some growers but he doesn’t use them, “We are using Liberty Link beans and also Enlist soybeans for our weed control program and both are working well.”

Stemme, who grows soybeans, corn and wheat in St. Louis County, says he hasn’t had any drift damage and believes growers he knows that are using the dicamba products are careful and adhere to the label.
