Nebraska’s crops were helped by cooler temps and recent rains
Thanks to cooler temperatures and beneficial rains, Nebraska’s crop ratings have stabilized following a sharp decline in mid-June.
Monday’s crop progress report put the good to excellent rating on corn at 74 percent, a three percent improvement from last week. The soybean rating dropped one point to 77 percent good to excellent.
Sorghum is called 80 percent good to excellent, a big improvement from a week ago.
Winter wheat condition rated 62 percent good to excellent. Pasture and range conditions rated 71 percent good to excellent.
