Syngenta entities restructure to create Syngenta Group
Syngenta Group announced its official launch Thursday, uniting all of Syngenta’s business units.
Syngenta Group, headquartered in Switzerland, is now comprised of Syngenta Crop Protection of Switzerland, Syngenta Seeds of Chicago, ADAMA of Israel and Syngenta Group China of Shanghai.
The new structure makes Syngenta Group the global market leader in crop protection, global number three in seeds, and both the market leader in fertilizer and leading ag service provider in China. Syngenta Group has a global footprint of 48,000 employees across more than 100 countries.
Erik Fyrwalk, formerly CEO of Syngenta Ag, is the CEO of Syngenta Group. He says the new structure will bring the diversity and expertise of their teams together to deliver the broadest range of sustainable and competitive products while enhancing the value of what used to be individual entities, to better serve customers.
