Chinn says 2020 State Fair will be all but the concerts

Missouri’s Agriculture Director says the upcoming Missouri State Fair in August will include everything but concerts.

Chris Chinn, who spoke during Governor Parson’s briefing Thursday, says the fair will have livestock shows, the carnival and camping and is very important for 4-H and FFA students, “Young people in agriculture put in countless hours of work on their projects. Whether it’s livestock, vegetables, photos or other items – value that the state fair provides for our students.”

Chinn says, in light of COVID-19, extra cleaning will take place at the fair, “It goes without saying that we’re committed to stepping up our game on our cleaning efforts to make sure that we do everything we can to protect the public. We’ve purchased additional hand sanitizer stations and we are going to step up our cleaning procedures and sanitation efforts.”

Chinn and Parson say they want everyone to feel safe at the 2020 State Fair. It will be held August 13th through 23rd in Sedalia, Missouri.
