Ethanol production jumped last week

Ethanol production jumped nearly 9-and-a-half-percent last week.

The Energy Information Administration says that’s equal to just over 35 Million gallons a day and is a 10-week high.

But, ethanol production is still tempered by the effects of pandemic disruptions and is nearly 24% below the same week in 2019.

Ethanol stocks last week were down three-percent, to 21.8 million barrels which is the lowest reserve amount this year and on-pace with volumes a year ago.
