Iowa’s crops are making good progress
After a somewhat slow start, Iowa’s crops are making good progress.
This week’s good to excellent rating for corn remained steady at 85 percent while soybeans improved slightly to 82 percent good to excellent.
Weather conditions were ideal for farmers to cut hay across much of the state. First cutting reached 54 percent complete and the hay condition rated 75 percent good to excellent.
Pasture condition improved to 70 percent good to excellent.
