Romanski officially nominated as Wisconsin Ag Secretary

The person filling in as Wisconsin’s Ag Secretary might end up with the job full-time.

Randy Romanski has been the Interim Secretary at DATCP since the departure of Brad Pfaff, whose nomination was not confirmed by the Republican-controlled State Senate.

Yesterday, Democratic Governor Tony Evers nominated Romanski as his Secretary-designee.   This time, the Governor’s choice picked up strong support from ag leaders including Wisconsin Farm Bureau, Wisconsin Farmers Union, and the Republican Chair of the Senate Ag Committee Howard Marklein.  Marklein issued a statement saying Romanski is a good choice for the position and he looks forward to holding a hearing on the appointment in the near future.
